Mobility and Stillness: On Gazan Tunnels as an Attempt to Decolonize Architectural Education

    Journal of Architectural Education

This essay is structured as a pathway with many entry and exit points imitating the Gazan tunnels amidst the urbicide occurring in the Gaza Strip. Using tunnels as both a subterranean structure and an educational metaphor, it aims to comprehend the paradox between Western modern capitalist education in architecture juxtaposed with the epistemology represented by various models during this critical historical moment of anti and decolonial confrontation, proposing epistemic disobedience and alternative forms of emancipatory knowledge.
